Yael Stein, who is Australian and lives in New York City since 2013, played Lorna Morrello on Orange Is the New Black. Yael has a degree from NIDA. Yael was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Australia's leading storytellers. She has worked behind-the-scenes on film, television as well as theatre. Yael's work is well-known throughout Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael discovered her new home with the city of New York City when the production was acclaimed in The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael co-founded The Cannery. The Cannery promotes creative ideas in writing and also creative projects in the Bushwick studio.
