Meredith Salenger

Salenger was born and grew up within Malibu, California. Her passion for acting was performing in front of her loved ones and relatives as young children. Her mom took her to her first class in acting when she was 8 years old. Salenger played a small role in the film as "a singer and dancer orphan" in John Huston's feature film Annie. Salenger was featured in several TV commercials. Salenger was the first actress to be cast on screen in The Journey of Natty Gann by Disney and featured John Cusack alongside Ray Wise. The film was awarded the Moscow Film Festival's Gold Medal as the first movie made in America. Additionally, she was awarded "Best Female Actress in a drama" in the Youth in Film Awards in appreciation of her performance as the charming Natty. She was also in four films before turning 18 years old. One of her films included A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. In the following year, she was accepted to Harvard to pursue further studies.
